For kids ages 3-6

September 3, 2015
Henry Mancini Arts Academy, the community arts education program at Lincoln Park in Midland, is now enrolling students of all ages for its fall semester. Starting this year, Mancini Academy is pleased to announce that it is an Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy site!

The Angelina Ballerina dance program is inspired by a beloved little girl mouse character appearing in a popular series of children’s books and animated television programs. Mancini Academy is one of 110 studios nationwide to offer this international program. Lincoln Park was accepted as an Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy, based on its outstanding facilities and the quality of their instructional program.

The 34-week Angelina Ballerina program is aligned with the TV series airing on PBS KIDS and Sprout®, Angelina Ballerina The Next Steps. Targeted at children ages 3 to 6 years old, the program teaches beginner ballet at two levels. The curriculum was developed by dance education specialist Beverly Spell, master teacher and author of the Leap ‘N Learn program.

In addition to the new Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy program, Mancini Academy offers classes throughout the year in dance, music, theatre and visual arts for children as young as 3 and adults of all ages. This semester’s class line-up includes guitar, hip-hop, musical theatre performance, photography steel drums, multiple performing ensembles, and even a course for adults called, “Youth and Pop-Culture: How the Geeks Inherited the Earth,” amongst other amazing offerings.

The fall semester begins Sept. 8. Information about specific classes is available at www.manciniacademy.com.
