Horse Camp description:
This camp is geared to cover basic horse care and riding. The children are divided by skill and experience level. Whether your child is completely novice or has some experience riding, we have appropriate riding activities.

Daily Activities include: grooming, tacking and riding horses. Each child is closely supervised and instructed on proper handling, grooming, caring for and riding horses. The riding portion is taught by accomplished National Level equestrians. Our horses, many of which are retired world and national level show horses, are calm, well groomed and give lessons to children and adults on a regular basis. The children are divided into small groups and can work on riding skills or enjoy a leisurely trail ride on the 128 acre farm. Snacks and water breaks are given throughout the morning. When we are finished riding, we break for lunch.

During the second half of the day, we move on to team building activities with horse knowledge, games, water obstacle course, wading and exploring in Raccoon Creek, nature walks and crafts such as making t-shirts or photo albums. The day ends with a cool treat!

Little Farmers Day Camp is an experience that your child will never forget. Let your child be entertained, educated and amazed by the every day wonders of the farm. They will love the hands-on interaction with the animals. Bottle feeding a new born calf, riding a pony, holding a bunny. Feeding and caring for lambs, goats, ducks, chickens and baby pigs. They will learn how fruits and vegetables are grown. Caring for and cultivating an expansive garden. Collecting eggs, preparing dishes made from foods grown on the farm.  But farm life is not all work! Crafts, games and nature walks help round out the day of work, play, learning and exercise. Space is limited so call or email today and mention Macaroni Kid!
