Summer Enrichment Programs Offered by The Franklin Center of Beaver County

All programs are offered at no cost to parents and are located in our educational facilities in Aliquippa. This summer all programs will be offered from Monday through Thursday from June 27th-July 28th, 2016.

The Green Team (grades 4-6): The Green Team is our introductory science program, and for the past several years has featured Engineering Adventures curriculum modules.  This summer, along with community service, students will learn science concepts and have many opportunities to express their creativity.  So if you like science, and you like to be creative and work with others, this might be the program for you!

STEMS Summer Science Camp (grades 7-8):  STEMS is our junior high level summer science program, and has featured Engineering Everywhere modules for the past several summers, as well as biology and wilderness adventure elements.

Med-Adventures (grades 9-12):   Med-Adventures is our senior high level summer science program, and is designed to introduce students to a wide variety of medical careers and topics, including basic medical assessment; CPR/AED/First Aid Certification; human anatomy and physiology; bio-engineering and clinical equipment; medical research; medical and STEM careers.

Venture Camp (ages 10-18): Venture Camp (formerly Biz Camp/Advanced Biz Camp) is our summer entrepreneurship program for youth.  Participants will learn entrepreneurship and makership skills while developing a unique business idea.

Camp applications are now available at the Franklin Center’s downtown office and are being distributed to every school district’s superintendent, principal, curriculum director, and guidance counselor. Applications can also be obtained via email at scurry@franklincenter.org or by calling 724-378-2882 ext. 20. They are due in the beginning of June, and can be returned to "Camps, 524 Franklin Avenue, Aliquippa, Pa 15001." Lunch is provided for all students. Our programs are open to any school-age student.
