Carnegie Science Center is once again teaming up with Duquesne Light Company to offer free admission on Duquesne Light Community Day, which will feature programming for all ages, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Thanks to Duquesne Light’s sponsorship, all visitors will enjoy free general admission, parking, and an Omnimax film on Monday, Jan. 16. The Science Center will be open from 10 am to 5 pm.

During this special day, visitors will be able to explore the Science Center’s four floors of hands-on exhibits plus Highmark SportsWorks® and will have the opportunity to watch the Omnimax film Sea Monsters on the biggest screen in Pittsburgh.

Several live science demonstration shows will also be presented throughout the day in the Body Stage and the Works Theater.

“Duquesne Light is proud to give back to the community by offering local families the opportunity to visit Carnegie Science Center free of charge,” said Lisa Minor, senior community relations specialist at Duquesne Light. “Through this Larger than Light partnership, we’re happy to highlight opportunities and potential careers in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math to thousands of students in our area.”

General admission, parking, and Omnimax films on Duquesne Light Day are subject to availability. For more information, visit CarnegieScienceCenter.org.
