Fall Fun Events and Pumpkin Patches
In order of date

Chippewa United Methodist Church Fall Festival
When: October 5 & October 6. 11 a.m.-8 p.m. on 10/05; 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on 10/06. Fall festival with lots of family and kid activities! There will be a Pumpkin patch, children's games and "Chippewa's Got Talent." In Chippewa Township.

Vanport Fall Festival
When:  October 6 from 12-5 p.m. Pancake breakfast starts at 7:30 p.m.  Entertainment, food booths, dunk tank, funhouse, children’s games and lots more! At Vanport Volunteer Fire Station

White Township Fall Community Day
When:  October 6, starts at noon. Fun for the whole family! Pig roast, crafters, vendors, kids' games all day, corn hole tournament, entertainment, and a DJ. At the White Township Community Playground.

Hozak Farms Fall Festival
When:  10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sept. 29-30 and every Saturday and Sunday in October, and will also be open on Monday, October 8 (Columbus Day).  In Clinton. There are hayrides, pumpkin picking & painting, refreshments, face painting, pony rides, farm animals, and a corn maze.

Janoski's Pumpkinland
When:  10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Every Saturday and Sunday in October. There are hayrides to the pumpkin patch, a cornstalk maze, a haunted barn, a straw jump, bouncies, crafts, food, pumpkin painting and a petting zoo. Also open on Oct. 8. In Clinton. Cost: $5 per person

Baden Applefest
When:  October 13 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Enjoy a family day of full of art, culture & local talent. The Applefest offers something for everyone. Highlights include Children's Old World Crafts, Pumpkin Painting, Barnyard Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Art Show, Live Music, Artist/Crafters, Community Flee Market, Car Cruise, Ethnic Food, Lectures and Lots of FUN! Baden Municipal Complex, State Street.
This a FREE community event sponsored by Baden Parks & Recreation Committee.

CDI Head Start Community Resource Fair
When: October 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Learn all about the helpful agencies and organizations in our area! Family Fun Gift Baskets given away every 1/2 hour!  Hear children’s stories from local authors and librarians! Have your picture taken with the Pirate Parrot and Star Wars characters!
At the Lodge at Brady’s Run Park. FREE!

Monaca United Methodist Church Applefest
When:  Saturday, October 13 at 10 a. m. Great family event with face painting, kids' activities and a pumpkin patch! At Monaca United Methodist Church, 813 Indiana Avenue. Free.

Bridgewater Pumpkinfest
When: October 13 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Bridge St. in Bridgewater. Pumpkinfest features a number of fun activities for the entire family to enjoy. Plus, there’s always plenty to eat while you’re enjoying live entertainment by some of our area’s most talented musicians. Be sure to bring the kids down for this wonderful celebration of the season! Free.

Center Township Fall Fest
When: Saturday, October 13 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.  Center's FallFest features fun, food and games! A parade at 11 a.m., face painting, bouncies, crafts, hay rides, pumpkin patch and painting, music, games, and more! Center Township, Taddeo Park.

Fall Festival Family Day at Edgewood Baptist Church
When: October 13 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Food, games, hay rides, prizes, fire truck, bounce house! Edgewood Baptist Church, 430 Edgewood Rd, Beaver Falls

Hopewell Fall Fest
When:  October 13 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Activities include Corn Maze, Hayrides, Pumpkin Painting Contest, Inflatable Obstacle Course. Crafts, Games and Prizes for the Kids. Barnyard Petting Zoo and Wild Animal Show. Hopewell Community Park

Monaca FallFest
When:  Saturday, October 20 from 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monaca's FallFest starts with a 5K race. A Halloween Parade is at 11:30 AM, line up beginning at 11 a.m. on 8th Street between Pennsylvania Ave. and Washington Ave. Food booths, craft booths, entertainment, games, inflatables, pumpkin patch, pony rides and train rides will take place immediately following the parade. Downtown Monaca.

YMCA Trick or Treat
When:  Saturday, October 20. Runs from 1 p.m. -1:45 p.m. and then 1:45 p.m. -2:30 p.m.
Round up your cowboys. Summon your princesses. Capture your ghouls and goblins. Gather all of your costumed children and plan to spend a fun day at the YMCA enjoying a fun and safe Halloween trick or treat event. Each child will be permitted to choose one pumpkin. After selection, join us for pumpkin decorating. Ages 10 and under, limited to the first 100 registered for each age group.

New Brighton Halloween Parade
When:  October 24 at 6:30 p.m. The annual Halloween parade! Parade route will travel along Third Avenue.

Beaver Fall Festival and Halloween Hop
When:  Saturday, October 27 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The Fall Festival kicks off when Beaver opens its streets to families in costume, to stroll from store to store, to trick-or-treat the local chamber members at 10:00 A.M. The Halloween Hop ends at 12:00 P.M.  Family entertainment and activities from 12 p.m.-4 p.m. Downtown Beaver.

When:  Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 6-7:30 p.m. Trick or treat from store to store!

Haunted Events
Editor's note: I have some age levels listed for these events. Some are very kid-friendly and some are not. If you have any questions, please contact these places and ask them what ages they suggest could participate. And here's an article about this topic.

Haunted Mini-Golf at The Windmill
When:  Right now, every day until November 3, from 6-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6-11 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Windmill in Hopewell.
Younger kids are welcome up until about 6:30 p.m.--then it may be too scary for them. Witness the haunting of the Hopewell Windmill. Try to avoid Monsters, Ghosts, and more as you play through 18 holes of haunted mini golf. Ice cream and food is available. Live actors every night! Play miniature golf with glow-in-the-dark golf balls! Cost:  $10 adults, $8 children 12 and under. Click here for more info or call 724-375-5350.
Freddy’s Haunts
When:  7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 31 (Starts Sept. 21) at 192 McCune Road, Independence Township. Follow the Freddy’s signs from the Aliquippa exit of Route 376. For older kids and adults. Freddy's Haunts is now open, rain or moonshine! Cost: $10

Creepy Hollow Haunted Trail
When: Fridays and Saturdays in October from dusk until 11 p.m., plus Halloween night. In Hookstown. For older kids and adults.  Cost: $8

Beaver County Humane Society Beastly Haunted House
When:  Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October and also on October 31.  At the Beaver Valley Mall, Sears wing. Hours:  Open Fridays 6-9 p.m.; Saturdays 1-9 p.m.; Sundays 1-5 p.m.  Cost: Children 10 and under $5.00 (Children 2 and under free); Adults $7.00.  Proceeds benefit the Beaver County Humane Society shelter fund.

Little Beaver Lions Club Haunted Barn & Hayride
When:  Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Oct. 12 to Oct. 28. The David O’Neill Memorial Haunted Barn and Hay Ride: An all-ages hayride and a haunted barn! Features the Barbara Davidson Story: “The Pig Lady”  (Fact or Fiction?) In Darlington Township. 7:00 PM 7 - 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays; Sundays 7 - 9 p.m.  Who: The hayride is for all ages. The haunted barn is not recommended for children younger than 6. Cost: Admission: Haunted Barn--$8; Haunted Hayride--$5; Both--$10.
