Preschool Scholarships at Lifesteps
“A Loving and Learning Environment”
When Beth heard about Lifesteps preschool scholarships, she applied right away knowing it would make a big difference for her family. Her three-year-old twin boys, Caleb and Lucas, now attend Lifesteps preschool two days a week, reaping all the benefits of a high-quality early education.
Beth first became acquainted with Lifesteps when she was going back to school and needed day care for her twin boys. "We researched multiple places, but our hearts and minds kept coming back to Lifesteps," she explained.
The boys attended day care at Lifesteps Beaver Center for two years until she graduated. During that time, Beth came to view the staff at Lifesteps as another branch of her family. "My boys are smart, loving, sweet and educated because of the Lifesteps staff who have taken care of them," Beth described.
Beth finally found a job late in 2012, but her family’s financial situation continues to be very tight as they try to catch up on student loans, bills and everyday living expenses. The Lifesteps scholarship has greatly eased the financial challenge of providing Caleb and Lucas with the opportunity to attend preschool.
"We cannot thank you enough for helping us give our children a chance in a loving and learning environment without sacrificing everyday life essentials," Beth explained. "This scholarship not only gives them another chance, it gives us a chance as well."
Lifesteps Early Education Centers, located in Beaver and Butler, provide care for children of all abilities. Partial scholarships are available for eligible students. Scholarship applications and guidelines are available at www.lifesteps.net and at the reception desk of Lifesteps Early Education Centers. For additional information, contact Lifesteps Coordinator, Family Services, Julie Thumma, at (724) 283-1010 x310 or [email protected].
