Catholic Education - Affordable, Safe, and Uncommon

July 24, 2014
The Beaver Valley Catholic Elementary Schools are accepting registration for the 2014-2015 school year. Our schools are Our Lady of Fatima in Hopewell Township, Saint Monica Catholic Academy (formerly Divine Mercy Academy) in Beaver Falls, and Saints Peter and Paul in Beaver. We offer 3- and 4-year-old pre-school programs, full-day Kindergarten, and extended-day options. Enrollment is open to all students, regardless of religious affiliation. Busing is provided through the public school districts within 10 miles of the school district.

The Beaver Valley Catholic Elementary Schools offer an affordable option to the public schools in Beaver County. Financial aid is available through the Bishop's Education Fund and the Diocesan Scholastic Opportunity Scholarship Fund. Additionally, we offer flexible payment plans to spread tuition payments throughout the school year.

The Beaver Valley Catholic Elementary Schools offer fully secure, safe, faith-filled learning environments for your child to learn and grow. Our schools maintain secured entrance systems, ensuring all visitors must be verified by a staff member before entering the building. Each school undergoes regular safety evaluations by the Diocese of Pittsburgh and works with the Beaver County Emergency Management Department to ensure proper plans are in place to deal with an emergency. Additionally, all staff and volunteers are screened through the Diocese of Pittsburgh Safe Environment Program.

Our schools are fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges in addition to meeting all state and diocesan curriculum requirements and all faculty are certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. As with all schools in the Diocese of Pittsburgh, we have not adopted curriculum based on the Common Core. We set higher curriculum standards and work to ensure our students are challenged to exceed them. Please click here to view Bishop David Zubik's statement on the Common Core.

In cooperation with the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit, our schools offer learning support, reading interventions and speech therapy for children of all learning abilities. We make use of SMART board technology in fully networked classrooms and integrate technology into our curriculum through the use of tablets in the classroom where appropriate.

Catholic Education is an investment in the future of your child. We offer an affordable, safe, and challenging learning environment.
