Beaver County Kids' Tennis Clinics

For kids 6-12, grouped by age. A great activity for kids in the fall and winter.

September 11, 2014
If your child would like to play tennis some evenings during the fall and winter, Coach Duane Hardek is starting more small clinics. These will be held in outdoor courts in Center Township until October. At that time, he'll switch to indoor instruction in Monaca and at Brady's Run. These clinics will run every week on either Wednesday or Thursday. (You can attend whatever week or weeks fit your schedule--you don't have to come every week.) Each clinic will be one hour long.

These clinics are designed just for kids. They use:
  • Low-compression Balls. These balls don't travel as fast, and they bounce lower than regular balls, making it easy for kids to start playing.
  • Age-appropriate equipment to help kids understand scoring, rules, etiquette, game play, and general skills. This includes racquets and smaller courts.
The focus will be on the fundamental skills necessary to play against friends and begin to compete against others. Activities will include both drills and games, and students will have a lot of fun while being active.

Coach Duane is a Professional Tennis Registry, or PTR, certified 10-and-under instructor. (He’s listed on the PTR website, too.) He teaches group clinics at the Brady’s Run indoor tennis facility on the weekends and also gives private lessons. If you have any questions, give him a call at 412-607-3544.
