Little Learners Preschool

Little Learners Preschool Academy is a licensed childcare and preschool located right off the Monaca exit in Center Township, near the Beaver Valley Mall, in the lower level of North Branch Church. Little Learners, which opened 14 months ago, is committed to providing high quality, family-oriented and value-based care for your child.



A Play-Based Childcare Curriculum
This childcare center has both full-time and part-time childcare available, which is perfect for parents who have varying work schedules. In addition, the center takes children in both mornings and afternoons who attend half-day kindergarten in Central Valley.

When I visited Little Learners, I saw children who loved to play together and who attentively listened to “Miss Sharon.” Sharon Scott, the director of Little Learners, has years of experience as an early education teacher and has a degree in Child Development and Early Childhood Education. She believes that your child’s natural desire to play serves as a springboard for them to learn important life skills. The day is scheduled to use play as a basis for other skills being acquired by your child. Through teacher-guided play, children learn problem-solving skills and self-regulation so they can appropriately interact with others, while learning language, vocabulary, math, motor, and social skills.  Through this kind of nurturing environment, Sharon knows that your child will develop a lifelong eagerness to learn.

Little Learners’ schedule includes:

• Morning circle
• Teacher-directed free play
• Snack
• Sensory exploration/arts and crafts/small motor skills
• Music/movement
• Lunch (You provide a lunch for your child, and Little Learners provides healthy snacks, milk, and water.)
• Story
• Nap
• Teacher-directed free play inside or outside in their play area

Sharon is currently enrolling children who are between six months and eight years old. She accepts CCIS clients. She is a Keystone STARS participant, which is a statewide program that improves childcare quality through a series of initiatives. The 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds who are in the childcare program receive FREE Pre-K and Preschool instruction.



Drop-In Childcare Service in Beaver County
Sharon is also taking drop-in children for parents who need a few hours or just a day on both Thursdays and Fridays as space allows.

Little Learners serves parents who live in Center Township, Beaver, Monaca, Chippewa Township, and anywhere in Beaver County.
