Franklin Center: Preparing Youth for 21st Century Careers

Franklin Center of Beaver County’s youth summer camp applications are now available. This summer, FCBC will be offering the following programs:

The Green Team (ages 11-13) will feature an introduction to science and invention/entrepreneurship. Students can expect to invent new solutions to environmental and science-based problems and learn how to take those solutions to market.

STEMS Summer Science Camp (ages 14-16) will continue to provide students a fun science-based summer. Our popular overnight camping experience is also included.

Bluesky Biz Camp (ages 11-18): is our introductory entrepreneurship program geared towards students who wish to learn how start their own business.  (More spots available this year!) This program is located on campus at CCBC.

Advanced Biz Camp (11-18): is geared towards students who took Bluesky Biz last year OR who are already running their own business OR who have taken entrepreneurship in school. This program is located on campus at CCBC.

Med-Adventures (ages 15-18) is focused towards students who wish to pursue a medical career.  This program will also feature ASSETT curriculum and multiple days at the Keystone Simulation and Education Center.  Students can also expect activities such as visits to local medical and veterinary practices, EMS centers, and local hospitals.

Parents:  All of these camps are free! Students must apply for camps. Our programs provide a safe, academic enrichment experience for your child during the summer months. Our students continually achieve a high level of academic advancement every summer. We use nationally and regionally recognized evidence-based curriculum in all programs, which are experiential in nature and rely heavily on project-based learning activities.

Camp applications are now available at the Franklin Center’s downtown office and are being distributed to every school district’s superintendent, principal, curriculum director, and guidance counselor. Applications can also be obtained via email at scurry@franklincenter.org or by calling 724-378-2882 ext. 20. They are due in the beginning of June, and can be returned to "Camps, 524 Franklin Avenue, Aliquippa, Pa 15001." Lunch is provided for all students. Our programs are open to any school-age student.
