Scally Golf Academy

Do you want your kids to learn golf or improve their skills this summer? Wouldn't it be great for them to have fun doing it?  Sign them up for one of Scally Golf Academy’s summer junior golf camps or programs, located at Scally’s Golf Center in Moon Township, PA.

Our junior golf camps and programs will benefit your child by teaching them:

Summer Junior Golf Camps for ages 4 and up


Children ages 4 and up can participate in one of Scally Golf Academy’s summer golf camps with Chuck Scally, Jr, PGA and Jill Finlan-Scally, LPGA T&CP and US Kid’s Golf Certified Coach. The camps will focus on fun ways to learn and develop skills for putting, chipping, pitching and full swing. There will also be an introduction to rules, etiquette, and course management. The instruction will include game-based teaching methods to reinforce the fun side of golf. There will also be activities that work on balance, coordination, locomotion, and body awareness to help the students improve their overall athletic skills. Sign up for one camp or multiple camps.

The Little Linksters Camp is for ages 4-7 and will meet for 1 hour from Tuesday to Friday. They will play a short scramble on the pitch and putt course Friday. There will be a party with prizes and food following.

The Junior Camp is for ages 8 and up and will meet for 2 hours from Tuesday through Friday. They will play a 9 hole scramble tournament on Friday on the par 3 course. Prizes and pizza following.

Golf Team Boot Camp  
Does your junior golfer want to try out for the golf team or start playing in tournaments? Sign them up for our new Golf Team Boot Camp.
 
This camp is designed for youths ages 12-17 who want to develop their skills for tournament golf. The golfers will learn to focus on proper practice techniques for short game and full swing, receive video swing analysis and learn rules and course management skills, and proper mental preparation needed to perform at their best during competition. The golfers must be able to consistently break 65 for 9 holes. It's preferred that a previous camp, clinic, or private lessons have been taken to participate in this camp. There will be a 9 hole tournament Friday. Prizes and pizza to follow.  Min. 7 Max. 16
Date & Time:  July 21-24: 9:30-12:30

Other Junior Programs

Junior Group Classes
In this weekly class, juniors ages 8 and up will learn and improve putting, chipping, pitching, and full swing techniques in a fun and engaging way.  Each week they will learn different skills while participating in athletic movement golf activities and games.  The final week will include on course play.  Sign up for one session or multiple sessions. Sign up early. Classes fill fast!

Intermediate Junior Class
This class is a good progression for juniors who have taken our Junior Group Class and are ready to learn advanced skills.  Juniors ages 8 and up will learn advanced practice techniques for all aspects of the game, receive video swing analysis, learn bunker shots, learn how to hit from uneven lies, learn driver skills, work on targets and alignment, and pre-shot routine development.

Thursdays 4:00-5:30 p.m.
Session 1: May 28-June 25  
Session 2: July16-Aug.13

Family Class
Golf is a family game and a lifetime game.  If you have a child, grandchild, nephew, or niece who wants to learn golf with you, this class is for you.

This class will focus on fundamental principles of putting, chipping, pitching and full swing in a fun way.  There will also be a focus on gaining familiarity with different clubs and basic etiquette/life lessons.  At the end of each session, there will be an opportunity for the child to teach the adult some of what they learned that day.
