Henry Mancini Academy Summer Camps

Does your child love to sing, dance and act? The Henry Mancini Academy invites them to join us for our upcoming Summer Camps.  Packed with lots of learning, tons of fun, and a chance to shine on stage our summer camps offer something for everyone.  The Henry Mancini Academy is located at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center in Midland, PA.

Angelina Ballerina:
Each day features a ballet style class centered on the life and happenings of Angelina Ballerina. We will also read and perform Angelina stories. Scheduled snack and craft time, too. Camps are available for ages 3-7.

“Triple Threat Track”:
Get ready to take the stage with our “Triple Threat Track!” These morning classes in Dance, Voice, and Acting will sharpen all your musical theatre skills. Taught by our experienced faculty, your child will learn to shine like the star they were born to be!Take these morning classes for one, two or all three weeks! Discounts applied for multiple weeks!

Seussical JR:
“Oh, the thinks you can think” when Dr. Seuss’ best-loved characters collide and cavort in an unforgettable musical caper! The powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant! Seussical JR. will provide the most wonderful and creative 3 weeks of summer camp for students ages 8-17! Includes morning Triple Threat Track classes. Plus on July 28th they will have the chance to shine on stage in two performances.

In addition to the Summer Camps at Mancini Academy, we will also be offering Summer Workshops on Improv Essentials & Shakespeare.  These workshops are available for age groups 8-12 and 13-17.  More details can be found on our website.

Improv Essentials:
A week long class where students will work on active listening, creativity, being supportive, the give and take of saying “yes,” to others. The basics of improvisational theater will be studied, developing improved communication skills, a polished stage presence and self-confidence... all while having a blast!

Shakespeare in the (Lincoln) Park:
Join us for a week long camp focused on the work of William Shakespeare.Explore scenes and monologues from Shakespeare’s plays and bring them together for a short performance at the end of the week.  Games, vocal exercises, and movement work will help to better understand Shakespeare as well as learn more about acting and working as an ensemble.
