Fitness Clinics for Kids

Ages 8-14

May 12, 2017

Let’s get kids more active and fit! Coach Duane Hardek is offering new Beaver County youth fitness classes for ages 8-14 that are geared towards improving agility, balance, coordination, and speed. Classes will be held in June, July, and August.

Limited activity throughout the day, TV, computers, iPads, video games, poor nutrition, and less time at recess all contribute to the fact that kids aren't as active as they used to be. Coach Duane wants to change that.

Beaver County Kids' Fitness Classes

The solution: make exercise and fitness fun for kids with a combination of exercise and games. A one-hour assessment will be completed for each child with basic exercises such as  a one-mile run/walk, sit-ups, push-ups, long jump, and overhead squats to determine a benchmark.

After completion of the fitness assessment, kids can participate in weekly fitness sessions that will combine exercises with games. Progress will be tracked and reported back to parents. This is a great class for sports conditioning or simply for your kids to stay active.

Classes are created by age group and will be held outdoors in Center Township on weekday mornings. If you're interested in these classes for your child, call or text Coach Duane at 412-607-3544. You can also email him at duane.hardek@gmail.com.
